IATF 16949 identifies compliance to Minimum Automotive Quality Management System Requirements for Sub-Tier Suppliers (MAQMSR) as a possible intermediate step in supplier quality management system development (IATF 16949, section 8.4.2.3.c).
The use of MAQMSR document is currently specified by FCA USA, FCA Italy, and Ford Motor Company.
